Yay!

Latest bloodwork is back for the husband. His cardiac coach (yes, there really is such a position) called up to say everything is looking great. They wanted his cholestrol lower because of the stents inserted; not because it was particularly high in the first place. Well, it is lower. Apparently it is not possible to get a lower reading.

I am so happy that the diet I’ve put him on has worked. Of course, he is cholestrol lowering medication as well but I am hopeful that maybe long term we can control it by diet alone. I’ve worked very hard with what I’ve been feeding him and it has been very time consuming so I am glad it has paid off.

Added bonus, because I eat it too, I guess my cholestrol is lower too. And now the occasional cheat, like on his birthday next week, will be totally justified. But, as he put it, ‘if I cheat, it has to be worth it – prawns over MacDonalds’.

Couldn’t agree more, my dear.

About quirkycharm

I like to think that I have a certain quirky charm but I am probably being optimistic. Acquired taste, perhaps, which many don't acquire. This is about my fifth blog out there. My hosting companies kept going out of business or my IT exhusband kept hacking into them and I would move again. I don't do twitter, I barely do facebook, I don't try and 'monetize' my blog. I love my husband, my grown children and my job and this particular incarnation of oversharing my life comes at a time when I am the most content that I have ever been. I write always, sporadically during the good stuff and exhaustingly during the bad.
